Abstract

The controlled cooling crystallization of ammonium sulfate in the ternary system: ammonium sulfate-ammonium nitrate-water considering the effect of the cooling rate was studied on the basis of the experimental nucleation and growth kinetics. For this, the solubility of ammonium sulfate in the ternary system was determined, and the maximum allowable undercooling was measured with the variations of the cooling rate and saturation temperature of the solution
