Abstract

This paper talks about the problem of risk associated to biomedical technology and biological hazard of cross infections carried on biomedical facilities and equipment without adequate disinfection or sterilization. This article proposes that the Clinical Engineering Department of the hospitals has to work in controlling risks or hazards strictly technical and also it must engage actively to detecting bio-logical hazards carried on this biomedical equipment and/or hospital facilities. Through this framework the nosocomial infections or health-care-associated-infections are better con-trolled and above all, it saves lives of patients.
