Abstract

The paper discusses a method for automating the technology of deposition of thin films by vacuum thermal spraying to study the propagation of electromagnetic waves in complex media. The analysis of the necessary equipment and the possibility of its modernization. A functional diagram of the device to bring the vacuum universal port (VUP-5M) installation into a working state is described. Consideration is given to the functional units of the device, their composition and principle of operation, and features are considered when designing the device. Similar solutions, their advantages and disadvantages are given, the rationality of their use is considered.
