Abstract

A new class of arc-timed Petri nets that covers timed automata and timed transition model is introduced as a control model for real-time discrete event systems, and the control synthesis problem that designs a controller to satisfy a specification given by a state predicate is addressed. Real time control-invariant predicates are defined and a fixpoint algorithm to compute extremal control-invariant predicates, key to the control synthesis, is proposed. The algorithm involves conjunction and disjunction operations of polyhedra, which can be symbolically implemented.
