Abstract

With the high penetration of the wind power in the system, the frequency regulation pressure of the system is increasing. Therefore, it is necessary to study the control strategy of wind turbine in primary frequency regulation. In this paper, a phased control strategy of the DFIG wind power is designed, which is based on the combination of inertia control and droop control. Based on the real time digital simulation (RTDS), a DFIG wind turbine model is built, and the control strategy is applied. The simulation results show that, according to the above control strategy, the wind turbine can track the frequency of the system in real time, and the control strategy can achieve the function of primary frequency regulation commendably.
