Abstract

This paper presents a new control strategy for a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) under unbalanced voltage conditions. Aiming at the unbalance of the three-phase grid-connected current caused by the unbalance of the grid voltage, this paper proposes an active damping control strategy. Based on virtual synchronous generator (VSG), this paper solve the inertia support of DFIG under weak network and ensure the stable operation of the system. Modeling DFIG under unbalanced grid voltage, analyzing the combination of high-pass filter (HPF) and active damping, effectively reducing the asymmetry of the three-phase grid-connected current. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the control strategy.
