Abstract
Automatic reclosing, which is the installed feeder line of the wind farm, will make the voltage drop twice when permanent faults occur in a system. It is easy to cause the wind farm to disconnect from the power grid. The control strategy for low voltage ride-through based on a fast protection circuit breaker is proposed to solve this problem. The control principle of fast protection circuit breakers applied in typical wind farm traversing scenarios is analyzed. It can improve the success rate of low voltage ride-through while voltage drops twice. Through the coordination of the fast protection circuit breaker body and the control system, the impact time of fault current in the system can be significantly shortened compared with the traditional circuit breaker. Finally, the effectiveness of the control strategy is verified by simulation in PSCAD/EMTDC environment.
