Abstract

The design and performance of various control strategies are explored in this paper. The design of control laws are based on linearization techniques applied to linearise nonlinear power system model using Taylor series approximation, direct feedback linearization, differential geometric approach and design of nonlinear control law by using a sliding mode perturbation observer. The simulation study is carried out based on a three-machine power system. The results are compared in a judicious way.
