Abstract

In order to control the SWBLI separation in supersonic cascade and widen its working range, VG array is set on the suction surface and numerically explored. VG can redistribute the passage flow to suppress the separation near the blade wall. Through the analysis on the effects of typical geometry parameters, the chord position of VG trailing edge should be set at the middle position between the blade leading edge and passage shock wave, the height of VG leading edge should be set to nearly 80 % thickness of boundary layer at SWBLI position at near-stall condition, and the array distance of VG should be large as much as possible on the premise of ensuring stable and ordered flow. With the parameter design of VG, at the cost of increasing flow loss from 0.209 to 0.222, the stall margin of cascade is improved from 0.068 to 0.167.
