Abstract

Abstract Seedlings of ‘Nitta’ eggplant were planted individually in pots of 15.24 cm diameter with soil-potting mix. The number of tobacco flea beetles on 25 plants with 2-3 expanded leaves averaged 4.1 per plant (SD = 2.60) before applying treatments on 10 Nov. After applying treatments with hand sprayers, plants from the 5 treatments and 5 replications were arranged in a Latin square design. All treatments included a drop of sticker (Latron B-1956) to ensure uniform chemical coverage on the plants. The number of adult tobacco flea beetles was recorded for each plant on 13, 15, 16, 17, and 18 Nov.
