Abstract
This paper presents an analytical application of Linear Quadratic Gaussian (LQG) control to reduce turbulent boundary layer (TBL) pressure transmission through an aeroelastic plate. The discussion begins with a summary of the modeling technique for an aeroelastic plate subjected to TBL pressure disturbance which is transmitted to a stationery acoustic medium. A brief discussion of the LQG control system design is also provided. The discussion concludes with results comparing the performance of LQG compensation with static output feedback control. These results indicate that LQG control is more effective at reducing TBL pressure transmission. a b D
