Abstract

Abstract Summer squash, ‘Lemon drop’, was directed seeded in Jul at the Lane AREC Lane, OK. The experimental design was a randomized complete block with 4 replicates and 10 treatments. Plots were 2 rows wide (72 inches) and 40 ft long with 10 ft alleys cut between plots. A single untreated bed was left between replicates. Plots were treated with insecticides using a high clearance self propelled sprayer with a broadcast application of 72 inches from 5 nozzles (flat fan, 80-03) applying 24 gal gpa at 60 psi. Plots were treated on 13 and 20 Aug. Squash bug populations were surveyed on 23 and 26 Aug by counting adults and nymphs on 5 plants per plot.
