Abstract
A method of control of cutting parameters without direct measurement of these parameters on a machine tool in the course of machining based on diagnostics of the tool and the workpiece is considered. Implementation of the method is demonstrated in machining of gray cast iron. The method may be used, for example, in real-time cutting control systems.
