Abstract

In this paper, the performance of step up and step down Cyclo converter are analyzed to an induction motor at load conditions. The speed of induction motor can be controlled by changing the frequency of Cyclo converter. Frequency is proportional to the speed of the induction motor. If the frequency of the Cyclo converter can change the speed of the induction motor. Performance analysis of induction motor is carried by using different types of Cyclo converters. For lower speed motors step down Cyclo converter is used. For high speed motors step up Cyclo converters are preferred. At different frequencies and loads the speed of induction motor varies. Results at different loads and frequencies has been presented in this paper.
