Abstract

The railway world companies use for the increase of the transportation process efficiency and the electric traction systems or study the questions of the electric energy storage systems use. The work modes of the electric rolling stock and the daily load graph of the substations form the requirement to the work resource of the storage systems, which imposes the restrictions for the use of some kinds of the storage units on transport, for example, electrochemical. That’s bond with the significant amount of the potential charge-discharge cycles. One of the solutions of this problem is the usage of the energy storage hybrid system, which includes the electrochemical energy storage unit and the super capacitor, which compensate the capacity fluctuations, while the electrochemical battery compensates the smooth capacity change. The development and the implementation of the optimal control system are very important in the hybrid storage systems. In this work there are given the results of the simulation modeling of the passive topology connection work of the hybrid energy storage on the post of the sectionalization of the electric traction system. The given results allow determining the optimal parameters of the system control for the different load graphs.
