Abstract

We examine the effect of two perpendicularly polarized fields of different colour on the photoelectron spectrum from an aligned diatomic molecule. We present a comparison of ab inito and S-matrix calculations of laser-induced electron diffraction. Two control schemes are examined, each intended to produce a single recollision event. The parameter space of each control scheme is explored and optimal parameters are found, and we confirm that a single recollision can be achieved.
