Abstract

Abstract A mixed aphid population (green peach aphid, black chrysanthemum aphid) present on greenhouse grown chrysanthemums was used to determine speed of uptake by plants and efficacy of imidacloprid (Bay NTN 33893). Plants were arranged in a RCB design with 6 replications. Granules were surface applied on either 29 Sep, 3 Nov, or 8 Nov and watered into the potting mix. Evaluations were made 11 Nov and 18 Nov by counting all aphids on one randomly selected terminal per plant in each of the four plants per pot.
