Abstract

The method of obstacle avoidance for a robot-manipulator in a complex unknown environment is proposed which requires only local information about the mere presence of an obstacle in the immediate vicinity of the moving manipulator. Hybrid-computer-oriented algorithms for motion patterns formation in real time are described. Simulation results on robots behaviour in situations difficult for maneuvering are presented and data on the algorithms implementation are given.
