Abstract
The efficiency and security of the complex technical and information systems is ensured by means of monitoring their current state. A method is proposed to automatically detect the moment when a certain boundary state is exceeded by characteristic features based on the principal component analysis of the control charts. The method can make full use of the multidimensional detection of the system disorder. The principal component analysis was used to make new uncorrelated components that successively maximize variance. Finding principal components reduces solving an eigenvalue/eigenvector problem. The control charts of original data and principal component were calculated to show that principal component control charts are more reliable when correlated data are considered. The method of using principal component control charts can provide an independent numerical assessment of the characteristic indicators of the quality of the process and determine its disorder even when these indicators are correlated. The article provides a numerical example to illustrate the proposed method.
