Abstract

This article investigates the grid-connected hybrid cascaded converter which is based on distributed architecture. Different from conventional centralized architecture, this article decentralizes not only the control but also the modulation to simplify the implementation of the entire system. Despite the simplification, the proposed scheme can achieve wide operating range and good output quality. Several laboratory test results are provided to verify the feasibility of the discussed system.
