A political anthropologist, she focuses her research on the intersections of sexual and environmental politics and their relationship to debates about sovereignty in the (French) Caribbean. After her tenure with the society, she will join Yale University's faculty as assistant professor of women's, gender, and sexuality studies.Wendy Asquith is a PhD candidate at the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom and an AHRC Collaborative Doctoral Award Holder with Tate Liverpool for the project Haiti in Art: Creating and Curating in the Black Atlantic.
