Abstract

The asymmetric flow-field flow fractionation combined with ICP-MS has been applied to study the interaction of the relevant colloidal species with actinides and fission products in Danube River water. The role played by the inorganic and organic colloids in the transport and accumulation of radionuclides and trace metal ions in natural aquifer systems is discussed.
