Abstract

The contributions of hydrocarbon radicals (−CH3, >CH2, >CH−, >C SO) to the enthalpies of solvation of organic molecules in mixed water—tert-butyl alcohol solvents were calculated in the whole range of compositions at 298.15 K. The influence of the composition and properties of the mixture on the solvation of different functional groups is discussed.
