Abstract

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is characterized by pathological fear. Impairments in memory recall contribute to such fear. Glucocorticoid-mediated action via the glucocorticoid receptor (GR) influences memory and perturbation of this pathway may impair memory recall. Studies of GRs in this context have focused on neuronal GRs. Our study seeks to address the role of GRs on cortical astrocytes in memory recall.
