Abstract
AbstractIn this book, dynamics modeling, optimization design and virtual simulation of soccer ball have been introduced for efficient sports analysis. The studies combine dynamics, mathematics, and sports engineering from a multi-disciplinary design optimization toward soccer ball spatial kinematics and dynamics simulation. A foundation is built for the full dynamic simulation of soccer ball motion. Chaps. 3–6 discuss five subjects: model validation, projectile motion, trajectory optimization, free kick, and corner kick. Each of these is independent and highlights different aspects of soccer ball kinematics and dynamics. The book clearly remarks problems, objectives, methodology, and main results. The basic modeling equations are supported with strong references and their physical meanings are clearly explained.
