Abstract
A description is given of a new tall herb association—Deschampsio-Filipenduletum ulmariae from northern Norway, with characteristics of the association, data on its origin and remarks on developmental trends. The syntaxonomic position of the association has been discussed and a comparison has been made with analogous communiteis in Scandinavia, central and east Europe.
