Abstract

This article begins by discussing the contribution of health psychology to clinical settings, before examining the application of health psychology to a cardiology outpatient clinic from the view of Consultant Cardiologist, and Clinical Lead in cardiac electrophysiology research, Professor Mark O’Neill. Professor O’Neill is also a placement supervisor for MSc Health Psychology students from King’s College London and describes how these placements have affected the cardiology out–patient clinic and patient management.
