Abstract

This article offers a comprehensive exploration of the pivotal role that Haat Bazars, or weekly markets, play in the rural economy of Nepal, with a particular focus on the Rupandehi district. Haat Bazars, embedded within the fabric of rural life, serve as vitaleconomic centers that foster entrepreneurship, generate employment opportunities, and significantly contribute to rural economic development. Moreover, they play a crucial role in ensuring food security by providing a consistent source of fresh, locally grown produce. The study's primary objective is to dissect and evaluate the multifaceted contributions of Haat Bazars in the Rupandehi district. Primary data for this analysis was obtained through a combination of surveys and observational methods.
