Abstract

The two-day workshop with the theme 'Contribution of Biotechnology to Chemical-Weapons Destruction' was held at Saratov, Russia, September 6-7, 2001. It was organised by the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) Institute of Biochemistry and Physiology of Plants and Microorganisms (IBPPM), Saratov, in cooperation with the RAS Institute of Biochemistry and Physiology of Microorganisms (IBPM), Pushchino, Moscow Oblast; the Nonprofit Research and Technology Centre 'Bionics', Saratov; and the V.I. Vernadsky Centre for Studies of the Biosphere, Pushchino.
