Abstract
SummaryGruel obtained from experimental thromboatherosclerotic plaques and from human coronary artery plaques was tested in in vitro studies for its possible thromboplastic potency. Gruel from experimental thromboatherosclerotic plaques was moderately thrombogenic, but that obtained from the human plaque appeared to be non-thrombogenic. The lipid extract of the experimental gruel failed to exhibit any thrombogenic propensity.
