Abstract

AbstractLarvae of Drosophila (Scaptodrosophila) megagenys Bock feed on the circinate tips of young fronds of bracken fern, and prevent normal unfurling. D. megagenys is widely sympatric in south‐eastern Australia with D. notha Bock, previously reported as boring in the rachis of bracken fronds.
