Abstract

Colorectal cancer (CRC) has a 90% cure chance if the tumors are diagnosed in the early stages, therefore motivating the development and design of diagnostic methods for CRC detection. This work tested contrast enhancement of ultrasound images from mouse colon tumors using VEGFR2 (vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2)-targeted ultrasound contrast agent (UCA) and 40 MHz endoluminal ultrasound biomicroscopy (eUBM).
