Abstract

The contractor-modification of air-entrained concrete mix proportions and production practices to suit actual construction conditions is covered in detail. The effects of alternate mix materials, materials proportions, and mixing practices on air entrainment characteristics and concrete durability are outlined. The effects of conventional, accelerated, and extreme curing practices on concrete durability are reviewed. The selection and implementation of quality control tests for air-entrained concrete is covered.
