Abstract

With the development of economy and the increasing demand for new energy in power system, ultra-high voltage direct current (UHVDC) projects assume more and more responsibility for long-distance power transmission. For the system with a large amount of new energy, voltage stability should not be ignored. In this paper, a continuous-discrete reactive power optimization control strategy is studied under the output of fluctuant new energy. Firstly, A reactive power optimization model considering continuous and discrete reactive power is established. Then the continuous and discrete reactive power optimization decoupling method is proposed for AC/DC system with new energy. Based on the sensitivity analysis, particle swarm algorithm is used to solve the problem. Finally, a reactive power and voltage optimization control strategy is presented. The proposed method is applied to the actual power grid, and the effectiveness and practicability of the method are verified.
