Abstract

Choose your size: The size of silver nanoparticles synthesized in a supercritical CO2 microemulsion varies linearly with the density of the fluid phase and can be tuned over a large range of values. The effect is observed at different water-to-surfactant molar ratios and surfactant concentrations. The figure shows two superimposed monolayers of the silver nanoparticles.
