Abstract
In the chemical industry, more bulk material now has to be transported in solid than in liquid form — and the handling of granulated solids is, in many respects, more difficult than the handling of liquids. Pneumatic diaphragm pumps are renowned in this respect for their ability to transport these materials smoothly. When a chemical production process was converted to achieve significant gains in performance, extremely powerful diaphragm pumps were called for.
