Abstract

This paper shows the development of a Cleaner Production (CP) Project that has already been running since the early 1990s. The concept of the project has been copied and transferred to many other cities and regions. Since companies from the first project years are still participating in the project, a Cleaner Production Club has been formed in which new elements and tools of learning are also developed and tested. The results show that the programme, with the learning units designed as below (including workshops, individual consulting, working visits, interactive learning), enables the education and training of project managers, facilitates the implementation of long term CP activities, and helps to reduce wastes and emissions significantly.
