Abstract

AbstractThe weak base method in continuous flow is currently one of the most sustainable and attractive approaches towards the synthesis of transition metal N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) complexes. Herein we broaden the scope of this method by using it to produce [M(IPr)(OC(H)(CF3)2)] complexes, including copper, silver, and gold. These compounds bear the alkoxide ligand within the coordination sphere of the catalysts, which can open up new ways to benefit from the unique properties offered by HFIP (1,1,1,3,3,3‐hexafluoroisopropanol) in catalysis, while minimizing the needed amount.
