Abstract

A speed tracking control for a permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) using an unknown load torque disturbance estimation technique is presented. The proposed control scheme depends on convergence of a state observer, which estimates motor speed, acceleration and the unknown load torque. A continuous output feedback controller that can achieve global stability for a PMSM is constructed based on a finite-time separation principle. The simulation results show the efficiency of the method.
