Abstract

Objective: Administration of continuous combined estrogen/progestin oral contraceptives (OC) has the potential to improve contraceptive efficacy while eliminating the inconvenience of menstruation and minimizing the development or progression of certain gynecologic disorders. The purpose of this pilot study was to compare patient acceptability and side effects of OC administered in an intermittent versus continuous fashion.
