Abstract

This paper presents a vectorizable set of transformations for antialiased translation, shearing, and rescaling of two- or three-dimensional discrete data. Also described is a fast, acceptably accurate, flexible algorithm for performing antialiased zoom and rotation of discrete data that uses a sequence of these simpler operations. Although it was designed for applications in radiotherapy physics, it has applications in other areas of physics and other fields utilizing image processing.
