Abstract

Reading is essential for personal growth and development, and early failure to acquire it can lead to social problems. To ensure effective learning, teachers must collaborate with parents and adopt new technology. The Bahay Kubo Application, a contextualized interactive video, was used to improve emerging readers' reading abilities and comprehension, benefiting teachers, parents, and caregivers. The study aims to determine the effectiveness of “Bahay Kubo” Learning Application in developing / enhancing the reading skills of the daycare pupils of Selected Barangay in Manila City. Purposive sampling was used to select the population. The Bahay Kubo app significantly improved reading performance, meeting objectives and making the learning process significant for learners. Daycare centers should develop reading strategies that suit learners' learning styles, encourage parental participation, and provide ongoing professional development. Schools should also offer home teaching strategies and explore free applications to enhance children's reading capabilities.
