Abstract

This paper describes an approach using the context based dynamic security service for adaptive healthcare applications. In particular, we focus on the security model using the dynamic access control based on context. Adaptive applications in home environment can be achieved via adaptive personal healthcare services that utilize the dynamic service reconfiguration according to the user's context. Evidently, context changes dynamically with respect to the relationship with the mechanisms by which data are collected and generated. However, existing security and privacy technologies fail to meet the requirements of ubiquitous computing environments. Therefore, we suggest a new security model that supports dynamic security service based on context using rough set theory. We describe a new access control model that implements the adaptive role using rough set theory. We also present a dynamic security service based on u-healthcare distributed framework that can serve as a basis for building adaptive healthcare applications.
