Abstract
The study aims to determine the importance of cartoons in a newspaper. The study uses a content analysis through qualitative data with purposive sampling of the cartoons published in daily Dawn and daily Jang from November 1st, 2022, to November 30th, 2022. Through this data, the researcher determines the cartoons' level of intellect, how well they fit with the news stories, and how the cartoons in English and Urdu newspapers differ. The theories of gratification and Magic bullet support the study's findings. Daily Dawn has established itself as dynamic in its coverage of national and global events in its cartoons, while the daily Jang focuses on domestic political issues. This reflects the viewpoint and general interest of the readers of daily Dawn and Jang.
