Abstract

Sickle cell disease (SCD) is associated with adverse perinatal outcomes although much of the SCD literature is historical or represents a non-domestic population. Furthermore, aspects of SCD in pregnancy, such as healthcare utilization and neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS), are understudied. We aimed to describe contemporary SCD outcomes in a United States (US) hospital system to improve perinatal counseling.
