Abstract

In its series on the history of culture, the Hungarian publishing house Corvina has put out two books devoted to questions of the formation of nations in the Eastern European continent, with particular reference to its central and Balkan regions. Interest in this topic among the scholars of several countries has been growing, and Soviet historians, historians of culture, and ethnographers have also achieved considerable results in their intensive study of the problem. Therefore, the new books published by Corvina cannot fail to attract attention.
