Abstract
First, trend of development of container ports is described in this thesis. Then, some economic theory in port planning, mathematical methods in optimization of transportation networks, and relevant research about application of game theory on transportation are concluded. The principle of competition in port market is analyzed and the interactive relationship among port authority, carrier and shipper is deeply studied. Secondly, according to the behaviors of players in container transportation game, carrierpsilas and shipperpsilas optimization objectives are respectively set up. Then, simulating the process of decision by carrier and shipper, we present a carrier-shipper game model for optimization of transportation networks. Genetic algorithms is applied to solve this large scale bilevel constraints combined optimization model.
