Abstract

A contactless measurement method for human intraocular pressure using a pulse measured using an active (for example, laser) optical system is suggested. The method makes it possible to get a rapid and painless result using spectrum analysis of the pulse fine structure. The information about the intraocular pressure tolerance is obtained by comparison of eye pulse characteristics that are measured on the basis of carotid artery pulsation. The suggested method can be used for mass-scale medical examination of people of any age, including newborns.
