Abstract

One hundred and twenty-three aphakic children were fitted with contact lenses. From this group data was obtained that outline problems in management and fitting procedures with infants and children under ten years of age. Most patients were fitted with extended wear lenses and the chief problems encountered were difficulties with initial fit, high lens turnover, infection and certain problems related to social circumstances.
