Abstract

NiCrCr3C2 and AlSi coatings were prepared using supersonic plasma equipment. The contact fatigue properties of the coatings were evaluated under dry friction, fuel oil, and lubricating oil conditions. The fatigue life of the NiCrCr3C2 coating was much longer than that of the AlSi coating at the same pressure. Under the same conditions, the NiCrCr3C2 coating had better contact fatigue performance than the AlSi coating, and due to the wettability of Cr3C2 and NiCr alloys, the Cr3C2 hard phase was firmly embedded in the NiCr alloy to ensure hardness and wear resistance at high temperatures.
